Accessorize Me!

I realized this week that I’ve been seriously lacking in the jewelry department. While this is no tragedy, it’s kind of strange for someone who used to make jewelry. Lately, I’ve been wearing my Anjolee studs and adding the occasional arm party, but that’s pretty much where it has stopped.

I’m thinking this should change. And immediately.

Fashion Inspired by Nail Art

I was cruising through my wedding blog feed the other day and came across a fab post on Grey Likes Weddings that paired photos of manicures with complementary bouquets. I thought that was a pretty genius idea and it immediately made me think about how all of the great nail art that’s out there right now can inspire fashion.

I put together two outfits that were designed specifically around awesome manicures I found around the internets:

Mother’s Day Gift Guide

There are still a few days left to score something awesome for the mommas in your life. Whether you pick up an ice cream maker that she can concoct delicious treats with her children with or a product that donates to a charity that’s important to her, make sure you think about her as a person, not just a momma. Nothing screams last-minute gift more than something totally generic!

From the gorgeous color to the fab song, the typewriter, and all of the pretty Kate Spade pieces, I’m totally smitten! Which means it’s time for a little window shopping, no?

I love them all but if I had to pick just one favorite, I think it would be the engraved gold bracelet, mostly because of the inscription. On the inside it says “this is the year to” and the outside says “be curious as a cat, lose yourself in a good book, add a twist, play your cards right, make sparks fly.” Adorable, right?

One Dress, Three Parties

While I’d love to use holiday parties as an excuse to shop, who has the money to buy a new outfit for every occasion? Not this girl! Instead, choose a versatile dress that you can make fancy or casual and use it all season long.

Covet: Kate Spade Book Clutches

OK, so originally I was going to throw one of these into my last Lust List, but my excitement over these can’t be constrained to a wordless feature.

I am an unapologetic word nerd. I also happen to be a wee bit obsessed with fashion. When these two forces combine, I’m left slack jawed and drooling.

Behold the Kate Spade book clutch:

I’m in love! From the quotes on the back to the detailed spines, these clutches are amaaaazing! At $325 they will never find their way under my arm, but a girl can drool, no?
