My Week Through Instagram

It’s been so insanely beautiful in New York this week! My little Ellie Bean has gotten to get outside and explore a little on those fat little legs that are getting better and better at carrying her around. This is a picture of her waiting for Samantha to get off the school bus. One of my favorite parts of the day is watching how excited she gets when her big sister comes home.

We had a birthday party for little sweet cheeks on St. Patrick’s Day since my husband had the day off (and not another weekend off in sight!). She turns one on the 24th, so I have a few more days before I have to completely come to terms with the fact that my baby is a year old already.

This is my pathetic little attempt at a cute little caterpillar cupcake I saw on Pinterest. In my own defense I was horribly sick with a stomach virus the day before and wasn’t even sure we’d be able to have the party. Excuses, excuses!

After our little family party we had a game night where the girls destroyed the boys in Trivial Pursuit. Yes, boys. You read that right. We destroyed you!

My birthday was on Sunday and my present from Samantha was an extra special manicure…

Here’s the end result! Love that little muffin. She loves patterns right now since she’s been doing them in school so it was only fitting that I should have patterned nails for my birthday. We did her fingers and toes to match!

Last but not least my (not so little) baby brother had a show at a local coffeehouse on Sunday. Sam bounced back a bit from that nasty virus we passed around (it struck her suddenly on Saturday night right after she finished my manicure), so we snuck out of bed for a bit to go watch. The show was great as always and he had the whole place sing happy birthday to me, which not only made me turn as red as a tomato but made me cry (because I’m that level of dork).

What did you do this week?
